longer limbs

coming from the question"what would it be like to have 2 sets of legs" i asked..."would that be a help or hindrance " which lead me to asking what it would be like to have longer limbs...again,helpful or not?

and as i was working with tights,i remembered a Sarah  Lucas work i has seen,"pepsi and cocky" and tried to make something along the same lines.

looked SO much better hung on the wall as arms. the gloves really added to it.

fixing the body

what would it be like to have a face for a crotch...or just a head with legs??

i wondered to myself... "what would it be like to have to sets of legs and no arms" ...

doll self 3

"hands and feet"

this simple sculpture is simply a reflection of my size,im not at all a small chap, and people are constantly commenting on my huge feet and hands,so i thought i make something simple.
i would very much like to revisit this again, but use nice wood, and keep the natural finish , perhaps varnish it, to add my love for woodworking and carpentry into the mix

doll self 2

"Habitual Ritual"

this may be one of my favorite self portraits i have ever done

trying to figure out which side the projection would look better on

i changed the bandanna that i would project on,as its lighter, meaning more  clarity to my video

Doll self

"Chest and Shoulders"
i feel like the sound recording compliments the work a lot, people in the room where asking where the sound was coming from, which lead to them asking why i had the sound in the first place. i like when people ask questions about my work.
the raw ugly objects also reflected well the sort of doll i was trying to make, they where also quite relevant to characteristics of mine

after looking at the doll on the table and seeing the mess of laptop and speakers under the table i felt like i let myself and the work down with lazy presentation,so i fixed that.

presenting this on the table completely  took away from it

having the sound under the table also took away

once i moved it off the table,it became a million times more pleasing to look at and experience

i also re-positioned the sound
