I have been drawn to wood since as long as I can remember. so naturally when a chunk of oak came into my position, I wanted to respond to the material.
by getting involved with the process of hand sanding and using bees wax to finish both sides, I created three different colours and three different textures. By blacking out the part of the mirror that would reflect an unnecessary amount, I wanted only the underside of the block to be seen.
